What once was a women's cardigan is now a beautifully soft, aqua merino wool toddler dress with silk bamboo crochet detailing, cotton sash made from the lining, and beaded crochet flowers. This upcycled / recycled sweater is a soft spring time aqua. The modern floral lining is black and white with splashes of green, aqua, and yellow. The crochet detailing is ivory silk bamboo yarn and the beading is shades of amber.After resizing the cardigan, I crocheted an ivory shell stitch 'lace' trim and hand sewed it to the inner hem of the button closure. I took the lining and created a sash (which is sewn to the front of the dress) and two flutter sleeves. I crocheted 2 ivory flowers and 2 little leaves and embellished them with a variety of amber shaded beads. Most of this dress is hand sewn. This dress is one of a kind :)
