This baby is all wood!Perfect as a scout vehicle or all around "uber" man steampunk cyber suit, these Bipedal "Human Walkers" have been commissioned for the armed forces by the hundreds! Able to reach great walking speeds of nearly 32 miles an hour over various terrain, their pilots, who stand in the "crow's nest basket" and work levers to the appendages are relatively safe at such a height! Two large, claw like hands with multiple joints can extend to great lengths away from the body on long arms to pick off unarmored enemy soldiers, reach high battlements or throw bombs!
Finished in a bronze and highlighted with some copper, this is BIG at about 6 3/4" high by 5" long by 2 1/2" wide (2 1/2 centimeters to an inch) and in scale with my fish walker!
My items like this are basically 100% wood (sometimes with tiny amounts of other things unless stated otherwise, still 97%+ is wood!). I paint and / or finish these with dark undertones and shading to highlight the details and then use layers of metallic and / or other coloring and finishes, making sure a lot of details shine through, often even the wood grain despite high tech themes. They maintain an often retro, sometimes even rustic look and feel to them, like an "olde worlde" toy or something (some more so than others).
