Product Description:

I made this diorama using several items handmade in Guatemala: 11 individual ceramic claybeads: Mary, Joseph, Jesus, three shepherds, three kings, angel, and sheep; hand-carved wood tray; and a piece of hand-woven huipil (traditional blouse worn by indigenous Guatemalan women and girls) from Colotenango.

I glued the huipil fabric to the wooden tray, glued in the characters, and glued a metal hanger to the back. I used glitter glue to embellish the carvings on the front.
