ZAP!!! Go ahead, make my millenium! The closest thing you will find to a "real, live ray gun," like in the old comics, movies, serials, and science fiction stories. These are a part of my retro tech made out of wood (of all things) series which gives them a cool look and feel -- kind of like an old toy, or a curios piece made my an olde worlde craftman of a previous century, or maybe even Santa...I love making these!
This one is Good 'ol Betsy, every space farers most prized possession -- No! ... most reliable friend. A very flexible tool, extremely sturdy no matter how many times it falls down an elevator shaft, high powered, with many various adjustors for different energy discharges ranging from heat rays, stun to disintegrate and more! Complete with sights and range finders. The clear indicator on the trigger is colored when armed and ready to fire! Total longest measurements, about 10", the barrel itself about 8"! A purple main body, gold metallic handle, silver metallic energy cone discharger and controls, etc... Nice balance for the hand.
This is a FULL, LIFE SIZE replica or 1:1 scale finished model of a classic, early type era ray gun all ready for display but as always, my own design, out of wood.
