Description
ACEO's are "Art Cards, Editions and Originals". These cards have one main rule - they are 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches - the size of a trading card. This is a one of a kind original painting signed and title on back.

<br />Painted on a composite wood base, 8 layers of encaustic paint (beeswax & resin) are fused together, the image was then carved into the wax and filled with tinted encaustic paint. Once hardened, the painting is scrapped to uncover the image you see here.

<br />What is Encaustic: Encaustic is a mixture of beeswax, damar resin, pigments and other mediums. The painted wax layers are fused and buffed to create a unique textured image. Ranges of styles and techniques for encaustic paintings are endless. The possibilities for luminous color, variety of texture and depth are quite limitless.
