Description
This very tactile work was inspired by the very sculptural allium flowers. I love those, like nature's sculptures. I've been meaning to paint one for ages and I'm very happy with how this turned out.

<br />The flowers are made of lots of little knots of cotton string. These were glued on a paper mache background which gives it a lovely texture. The color scheme is monochromatic and is understated simplicity, allowing the textures to speak for themselves.
