Description

This handmade ceramic tablet by Macarroll (Etsy) makes me feel warm all over! It's the color of toast (warm!), with an interesting tactile pattern that makes me think of waffles (warm!), or perhaps lizards or ostriches, which make me think of the desert or Africa (warm! warm!) It has hints of sage green in it too, the color of an acacia tree or maybe sagebrush. Which grow in warm places. (I'm taking whatever kind of heat I can get, even psychological metaphysical aesthetic heat--we just got more snow in the mountains. I can see it from my window. And it's almost June.) I've combined this toasty little tablet with moss agate, picture jasper (which of course makes me think of the hot desert), a glossy little ivory bone round, and glowing antiqued brass. Which makes me think of the sun (warm!). I've made the small round brass beadcaps, toggle bar and ring myself, along with the little connector rings at the top of the necklace.
