This is a handcrafted pumpkin salt dough ornament for your kitchen, Thanksgiving decor or Christmas tree!

For those not familiar with salt dough, it's a craft that has been around since Colonial times.
All the ornaments you see in my shop are made by me, in the same way as our mothers and grandmothers who dabbled in salt dough, without any mechanical devices, completely by hand.

Flour, salt and water is combined, shapes are cut out and dried completely until each piece is as hard as a piece of pottery. All ornaments are then sanded to smooth the edges, hand painted with passion and care and finished with a black wire hanger.
