Description
This asymmetrical statement necklace was inspired by the graceful peacock. The eye of the feather features a faceted crystal flanked by deep purples and bright greens and fades into a deep saturated aqua blue for the body of the feather. It gently swoops to one side and is off set by deep blue-purple (almost black) gold-stone chips.

<br />The metal pendant that hangs from the bottom of the feather has inlaid crystals, and also gently swishes to one side. The back of the necklace is of heavy silver-toned metal chain and terminates in a graceful silver-tone hook clasp off to one side.

<br />I created this Peacock Necklace for the Challenge for Etsy Beadweavers: "Arabesque Style." This style usually uses interlocking vines and and flowers, bird motifs, and depending on the country of origin, it may include paisley patterns. I decided to create a peacock feather that is positioned in a sweeping, arabesque style, and the pendant is a paisley pattern in modern colors.
