Beanie hat tam handspun hand painted hand knit Wensleydale Monet colours warm soft
Well, a lot of this one is in the title! A simple beanie knit in the round, so no back seam. I handspun the yarn from traditional longwool Wensleydale fleece from Yorkshire UK. I carded in a little silk for added lustre then I handpainted the skein in waterlily colours - soft blues, greens and a touch of acid yellow. The yarn is self-plied. It is beautifully soft and has the slight halo typical of Wensleydale. The hat is light but very warm and cosy - those rugged sheep know how to survive!

Size medium - just under 8 inches top to brim and approx. 18 inches around its unstretched (but stretchy) brim. This one can be worn with a bit of slouch.
