Description
Beanie handspun hand dyed hand knitted small
One for a sophisticated young girl - the colours are straight from a Monet painting!
This is a hat I handknitted in a simple design from some silk which I spun and then plied on the wheel with some commercially spun wool. The main part of this beanie is knitted in stocking stitch (stockinette) to show of the yarn. It has a little rolled brim and a garter stitch top. It is light but warm.
It is a small size, suitable for a child. The hat measures 6.5 inches top to bottom, not counting the little roll up and approx.18 inches circumference at its unstretched (but stretchy) ribbed brim.
