Chosen for their pastel tones, the fabric scraps in shades of cream and golden brown, with accents of peach and pink, have been bonded to a felt background using an embellisher machine. Pieces have been torn to shape to avoid the sharp edges produced by scissors and to begin the fraying process, accentuated by the machine. The 'patchworked' cover has then been embroidered using simple hand stitching. Some stitching elements have been placed to reinforce weak areas in the patchwork, others to further 'bond' seams.
