Product Description:
A richly textured and decorated design featuring a wild flower meadow, decorates the cover of this needle book. A gift that would be welcomed by any needlework enthusiast.Sky blue wool fibers, kindly passed on to me by a fellow crafter, are felted onto a kunin felt (produced from re-cycled plastic bottles) background by use of an embellisher machine. Snippets of yarn, carefully collected from other projects, are felted in place to form the meadow grasses. 'Waves' of hand stitching are used to 'stabilise' the felt. Clover, daisies and yarrow are hand-embroidered onto the meadow. The cover is backed with a layer of interfacing and is edged with blanket stitch in sky blue and green cottons as appropriate.
