Product Description:

Circe was a beautiful goddess and many stories have been told about her. This is my representation of John Waterhouse's "Circe Invidiosa". I have always been enchanted with Circe and while I have used "Circe Invidiosa" as the base for my creation you will see that there are many differences.

I have added the moon which is made from a mother of pearl flat bead. The stars in the sky are tiny seed beads. Instead of a dark moonless night, I have added the moonlight which reflects off of the many seed beads used for the water and also the ground.

The rocks are aquamarine and labradorite and the water flowing from the copper bowl are liquid silver and seed beads. There are three strands of beads that fall from the bowl to the hem of her dress.
