Product Description:

A fabric wall hanging, hand embroidered. A field of Namaqualand daisies in the foreground with the sun rising over the ocean in the background
Namaqualand is an area in South Africa that once a year is described as Mother Nature's flower extravaganza. From July to September it is awash with these beautiful flowers.

I have tried to capture the colours and richness by using pure silk ribbon for the flowers in the forefront, continuing through to the background with silk thread. Only the wave caps have been highlighted leaving the sea to form a natural backdrop.
