Family Hearts Quilt for your mother or a new mother -- Custom-made
<br />51 inches wide by 34 inches high

<br />100% cotton -- cotton Bali batik fabrics, cotton thread, cotton batting. cotton calico backing.

<br />The Family Hearts Quilt has 237 hand-cut pieces of Bali batik cotton fabric. Your quilt will be custom-made just for you and will be in the same style but with your color scheme and family names. There is room for 20 names horizontally, and 24 vertically -- a maximum of 44 names. The names are painted with permanent fabric paint in a coordinating color.

<br />The backing is also cotton batik, as shown in the final photo above. There are 44 different hand-dyed fabrics used in this quilt, and 6 styles of quilting stitches done in rayon thread. The fabrics were all washed in Ivory Snow, dried, and ironed before assembling. This is a summer-weight quilt, sewn mostly on my Singer sewing machine.
