Product Description:

This unique felt necklace screams "herb nerd". It is the first in a series that I am going to make that is inspired by the materia medica that i am working on and must complete for an herbalism course. If you love learning about plants and their medicinal properties like I do, then you might love this unusual fiber jewelry. I knitted and then hand felted the green wool base that the little needle felted ginseng root sits upon. The binomial "Panax quinquifolius" is written in fine point sharpie pen on a scrap of canvas, with a mini doodle of the plant's leaves and berries beneath the letters.

Measurements: The ornamental part of the necklace measures 8.5"x6" from it's widest points, while the full length of the piece is approximately 28" .
