Description
Rich shades of heathery pinks and purples shelter against the felted hillside background of this embroidered brooch.

<br />The heathers are embroidered in a variety of cotton threads. The spikes in the foreground are stitched in ribbon. Naturally died silk and mohair fibres are combined with merino wool, in the felt which forms the background to this brooch.
<br />
<br />The brooch is stiffened with plastic cut from a recycled bottle. A space-dyed, loosely spun wool, in heathery shades is bound round the edge of the brooch to frame the design.

<br />The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
