Description
Golden shades of yellow buttercups contrast with the hand-felted, meadow background of this embroidered brooch.
<br />
<br />The flowers are embroidered in a variety of cotton threads. Those in the foreground are stitched in ribbon. Naturally died silk and mohair fibres are combined with merino wool, in the felt which forms the background to this brooch.
<br />
<br />The brooch is stiffened with plastic cut from a recycled bottle. A space-dyed, loosely spun wool, in green shades is bound round the edge of the brooch to frame the design.

<br />The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
