This beautiful Steampunk patchwork shawl is made in true, thrifty Victorian fashion i.e. from genuine upcycled repurposed fabric scraps instead of purpose-bought squares.

The beautiful fabrics used in this patchwork shawl have been carefully hand-selected, and so included in the patchwork shawl is: some truly gorgeous deep ruby coloured velvet, some squares of classic steampunk style rich dark brown, black/taupe stripe squares in different directions, some elegantly silky black duchess satin, plum-coloured cotton, and soft organic & fairtrade jet-black velvet.

The patchwork shawl pattern is completely symmetrical and attached onto a plain black backing of 100% organic & fairtrade cotton - the thick fabric makes it perfect to be pinned with a brooch as a structured wrap or cover-up.
