This is part of my '5 a day' fruit and veg collection, as a vegetarian who sees a lot of fruits and vegetables i was inspired by the patterns found in the cross sections and decided to use embroidery to bring the most interesting parts out, textile art is my big passion i love nothing more than spending hours hand embroidering details like this.The Kiwi is two square canvas' 10" by 10" each, painted with acrylic paint then embroidered over with silk threads and plastic beads to bring out the detail, made entirely by hand with patience and love.
The Kiwi creates a great happy, summer image that literally leaves your mouth watering!! would look great in any kitchen, dining room or cafe.
