This striking red nest box is just the right size for: chickadees, bluebirds, tufted titmice, nuthatches, prothonotary warblers and some wrens."Red Moon Rising" is made from an organically grown gourd from my own garden. This house features a carved moonburst. The intricate design has been hand-carved into the gourd and dyed to make the design stand out. It's finished with 2 coats of UV marine varnish, drainage holes on bottom and rawhide hanging strap. The seeds have been removed and the inside has been left natural for the birds.
Approx. 9 3/4" long, not including stem, and 4 1/2" diameter. My birdhouses have also been known to decorate indoor spaces as well!
This would make a unique gift for the holidays, housewarming or just about any occasion.
