"Untitled Guitar #6"-- original acrylic painting on 9" x 12" x 7/8" gallery wrapped canvas. The painting continues on to the sides so there is no need to frame. It is ready to hang!

I love painting guitars! Each one is fascinating in it's own right and, besides, I love music. For this guitar, I applied several layers of quinacridone burnt orange (one of my absolute favorite colors!)to the entire canvas as an under painting. I then mixed quinacridone burnt orange and ultramarine blue for a rich, dark purply black for the dark areas of the painting. The details were added in in titanium white and iridescent silver.
