Hand knit handspun unisex wool and silk beanie by SpinningStreak

Description
For this one I first knitted a moss stitch band from my handspun wool. I then picked up the stitches and knitted the rest vertically in stocking stitch (stockinette). For this middle section I plied my handspun indigo dyed rare breeds Wensleydale with a burgundy coloured handspun which incorporates just a touch of white bombyx silk and red and silver fireflash for added lustre. The top part of the beanie is made from a smooth wool that I dyed to match. This shows off the shaping. I chose man/woman shades to create a unique, modern hat suitable for a man or a woman. The resulting hat is soft, warm and totally original.
<br />This one was knitted in the round, so no back seam. It stretches to fit all but the largest head - it is designed to be a snug fit and measures approx. 8 inches crown to bri and approx. 20 inches around its stretchy brim.
