Product Description:

Hand painted novelty yarn 50g apricot tangerine
The base yarn for this is a skein of fun novelty yarn, 40% wool, 25% acrylic, 20% polyamide and 15% lurex. The yarn is beautifully soft and squishy. It is double stranded (see photo against 1 inch measure for accurate gauge).
I hand painted it in two stages, knowing that the different fibres would take up the dye in very different ways. The main colours are two shades of apricot and tangerine orange - very fruity one!. There is a fine white thread which is untouched by the dye. This, together with the gold lurex, offers a good contrast.The last picture shows the same yarn before it was reskeined to show the colour blocks.
