Hand painted yarn 100g. wool laceweight green pink
The base yarn for this is a skein of fine laceweight pure wool.
I dip dyed then hand painted it in two contrasting colours - dark green and shades of pink lilac. The last picture gives an idea of the colour blocks, before the yarn was re-skeined.
I would use this one on fairly large needles to create an open, airy fabric - it would make an original summer shawl. It is a fine yarn - and it is easy to get it in a tangle when winding so this time I have wound it off into two pullcakes (see pic.3 - use from the centre of the ball for tangle free knitting)
See picture against a 1 inch ruler for better idea of gauge.
