Hand painted yarn - 50g alpaca merino acrylic mix kingfisher blue green
<br />The base yarn for this is a mix of 40%merino and 25% alpaca, with 35% acrylic for added strength. The yarn was commercially spun with a chain construction. It is VERY soft and deliciously squishy. It is approx. dk weight (see photo against 1 inch measure for accurate gauge). I hand painted it in vivid colours - kingfisher blue with flashes of wine red, gold and green - bold and different! The next to last picture shows the yarn before reskeining to give you an idea of the colour blocks. The last picture shows a light, open stitch scarf that I made with just one skein of this yarn, to give you an idea of how far it will stretch. The scarf measures 58 inches.
