Hand painted yarn, soft merino wool, lace weight red orange 100g
The base yarn for this is a skein of fine laceweight pure merino wool.
This one was dip dyed in red and orange - rich, glowing colours.
The last picture gives an idea of the colour blocks, before the yarn was re-skeined.
I would use this one on fairly large needles to create an open, airy fabric - it would make an original summer shawl.
