Handspun hand knitted beanie hat merino wool silk
Classic design Contemporary neutral colours.
I knitted this one from a continuous yarn (so no annoying ends) which I had spun from various highest quality Merino tops. I then self-plied this to keep the colours separate and clear. I chose man/woman neutral shades of cream, brown and mustard to create a unique, modern hat suitable for a man or a woman. The beanie is knitted in stocking stitch (stockinette) to show off the handspun yarn and it has a short ribbed section at the brim. I knitted the top section from two strands of my handspun tussah wild silk. The beanie is soft and very warm.
This one was knitted in the round and stretches to fit all but the largest head - it measures 8.5 inches crown to brim and approx. 21 inches around its stretchy brim.
