Handspun hand knitted boiled wool felt hat multi coloured
<br />This is a hat I hand knitted (large!) from pure wool, then felted down to size. It now measures approx. 24 inches at the brim and 7.5 inches from the crown, not counting the 0.75 inch turned-up brim. It can be worn in different ways because the brim is not stitched down. Unusually, I made this one from my own Merino handspun yarn, plied with a dark green alpaca yarn. It is lightly felted and retains some stitch definition. The colours are muted greens, blues and greys - with an occasional discreet flash of something brighter. These hats are very warm and cosy and you will not want to take it off when you get inside.
