Description
I hand spun this from traditional longwool Wensleydale fleece from Yorkshire UK. I then hand painted the skein in rich purples, mid blue and violet with a touch of bright lime green.
This yarn was spun from tops, so it is smooth and fairly uniform. It is self-plied. It has kept its lustre, is soft and has a slight halo.
2 skeins:
79 yards
53 yards
ie. approx.132 yards and 125 grams - so this one is a little heavier than DK gauge - see picture with 1 inch marker for better idea.
