Description

Handspun merino art yarn - wine red merino wool, green trilobal nylon A new range of handspun yarn. First, I spun singles from some high grade (21 micron) merino tops in dark burgundy red. I then plied the singles together with a fine hand dyed thread in smoky blues and purple, and finally with a grass green shiny trilobal thread. It has created a balanced, super soft, bouncy one-of-a-kind yarn which has a slightly thick and thin appearance. The wool is spun chunky - please see last picture against the tape measure for an accurate idea of the gauge. This is an exceptionally soft and versatile handspun art yarn. There is enough here for some unique statement handwarmers - and, of course, it could always be supplemented with some toning plain yarn - maybe use it for a special decorative border on a larger project like a hat. This listing consists of 1 skein, 76 yards, weighing 50g http://www.etsy.com/shop/SpinningStreak?section_id=5307046 http://www.etsy.com/shop/SpinningStreak
