Handspun merino yarn - fun bullion spun pink dark navy
<br />A new range of handspun yarn.
<br />First I spun two singles from some high grade merino tops - I added extra twist to one of them. I chose a dark blue and a white and I overdyed them both in a strong dark pink. I then plied them together, adding a few bullions (little patches of back twist - see photo with tape measure for accurate idea of gauge) This produces a strong design with a 'bakers' twine'/'barbers' pole' effect and some discreet added texture. This skein would make fabulous handwarmers, though you might need to add some plain navy yarn for the ribbing. It would be perfect to use as an accent yarn or to create flowers etc as embellishments.
