Handspun natural dyed rare breed Teeswater Wensleydale yarn
<br />I hand spun this from a carded blend of two rare breed traditional longwool sheep fleeces - Wensleydale from Yorkshire UK and Teeswater from the Durham area. The wool had previously been dyed by my friend using natural dyes: woad for shades of blue, daffodil to give a mid straw colour, and cochineal for the purple.
<br />This yarn has been spun smooth and fairly uniform. It is self-plied. It has kept its lustre, is soft (though not quite merino soft) and has a slight halo. The colours work well together, so I have decided to list them as one lot. If you are only interested in part of the listing please contact me.

<br />Blue: variegated, woad dyed 54g 116 yards
<br />Maize: uniform colour, daffodil dyed 50g 130 yards
<br />Lilac purple: uniform colour, cochineal 37g 84 yards
