Description
Handspun yarn merino beads sequins midnight blue
First I spun a single from some high grade merino tops. I chose a beautifully balanced blend of dark blues with lighter highlights and a little silver grey. Then I plied it with a very fine light-reflecting thread onto which I threaded sequins and small glass beads, some clear, some in shades of blue. The resulting yarn is surprising subtle. The skein is soft, lofty and evenly spun and I am very pleased with the result.
It is a very easy intoduction to knitting with beads because the beads are already threaded and attached for you.
1 skein - 156 yards and approx. 58 grams.
Fine spun - see photo against 1 inch ruler for a more accurate idea of gauge.
