Product Description:
A felted and embroidered harvest design, with brilliant red poppies, decorates the cover of this hand-stitched card wallet or case.Sky blue wool fibers have been felted to a background of kunin felt (produced from recycled plastic bottles). A wide variety of yarn snippets, carefully collected from other yarn projects, together with tiny felt leaves, have been added to represent the cornfield. Stitching in fine cotton has been added to the sky to 'stabilise' the felting and the poppy field has been carefully couched over for durability. The cover is edged in blanket stitch using threads to match the areas of the design. Simple embroidery stitches have been used to embroider poppies and daisies.
