Plump pears of natural iolite, also known as “water sapphires†or “Vikings’ Compass†for its ability to determine the direction of the sun on overcast days, are the focal in these earrings.The deep inky-blue of the iolite is perfectly complemented with gem grade imperial topaz in mauve and light tangerine, wired so meticulously by hand to each briolette and topped with a golden rondelle of citrine. Freshwater keishi pearls in shimmering whites perched atop each briolette and ends with a coiled bail. The earrings complete with ball-end 14K gold filled ear wires.
Earrings measure about 1.8 inches (4.5 cm) from the top of ear wires.
