JAPANESE BOUQUET by emmaklee on Etsy

This piece was made in a pet- and smoke-free studio. The white ground fabric is something from my mom’s stash, maybe a nubbly cotton. The vase is a wash of acrylic paint; the flowers are gunmetal-grey pearl beads on stems of machine stitching. The Japanese characters are ultrasuede couched with yarn, and mean “bouquet.” Hand- and machine-stitched, bound with bias tape.
