Elegant hand would necklace featuring rondelles of pink aragonite matched with faceted pink jade rondelles and rose quartz rounds. All wire and clasp are silver plated copper. The necklace measures 33" in length with the pendant drop a further 2 and 1/2".Aragonite is named after the Molina de Aragon mine in Guadalajara, Spain where the gem was discovered in 1788 (the mine is situated close to the town of Aragon). Aragonite is a unique mineral gemstone, as it has the same chemical composition also found in organic molluscs. The crystal structure of Aragonite is also very unusual in that it is often found in needle-like, six-sided prisms.
