Littorina obtusata yellow periwinkle shell earrings by sgisborne

Product Description:

Made with two fairly well-matched bright yellow Littorina obtusata shells - otherwise known as the yellow periwinkle - these unique silver earrings were handmade using a fine silver bezel on a sterling silver backing. The hooks are sterling silver too. Each earring weighs around 2g and is approximately 3cm in total length (including the hook) . To assist the retention of the shells, I have used a strong jeweller`s epoxy glue as well as the bezel to hold the shells in place. Supplied gift boxed, as shown. Free UK postage!
I just love the unnatural looking bright yellowness of these shells which are commonly found around the shores of England. I also like the beautiful spirals of shells.
