Description
A lovely piece of vintage lace trimming has been used for the background of this embroidered brooch, with roses embroidered in ribbons in shades of amber.
<br />
<br />Chocolate brown felt has been covered with vintage lace, slip-stitched in place, the cut edges folded to the back of the felt. A bright orange, satin ribbon and a sheer, bronze-coloured ribbon have been chosen for the rose and rose buds. Leaves are stitched in embroidery thread.

<br />The brooch is stiffened by a layer of heavy interfacing and the back is neatened with felt. A brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
