This rosary is one of a kind. It is fashioned after ones from the late middle ages which were meant to express the precious nature of life and our constant proximity to death.This rosary consists of 4 groups of 10 close spaced beads the "Aves", made from Genuine Peruvian Opals. They are 6-8mm in size.
Between these are the singular beads (Paters) which are hand sculpted and painted clay skulls. Each skull was made by William Bonnichsen to have an individual look and feel. Some are missing jawbones, one has a cross carved into the back and one has a creepy grin.
The center link is a silver "Our Lady of Sorrows" and the cross is a finely articulated Sterling Silver.
