Description
The cross on this necklace is hand sculpted from recycled eco silver metal clay. Silver is reclaimed from old film stock (no mining!) and mixed with non-toxic binders to form clay. When it's fired in a kiln 99% pure silver remains.
<br />It's very substantial and rustic with a coarse, industrial, grid / mesh texture, highly oxidized to a dark slate grey and lightly brushed to increase contrast. The necklace uses beautiful, natural grain, pale brown stone and a mix of glossy and matte obsidian in a color blocking pattern divided with oxidized silver plated beads. It's very substantial definitely something for men. It's a little over 15" long and strung on superior quality steel beading wire.
