Necklace with Handmade Polymer Clay Beads, Terracotta Beads and Ceramic Beads.
<br />I have made the polymer clay beads by rolling up a triangle of polymer clay which is then flattened and a texture applied to it. They have then been painted with acrylic paint in a pink-beige colour. Then I have sanded the paint from the raised part of the texture to emphasise the pattern with the paint. The beads are then sealed with varnish.
<br />The handmade polymer clay beads have been combined with Indian terracotta beads and green Greek ceramic washers; they are all threaded onto waxed cotton cord.
<br />The necklace measures approx 22 inches/56 cms and it fastens with a hammered square gold plated pewter toggle clasp.
