Necklace with Handmade Polymer Clay Beads, Terracotta Beads and Ceramic Beads.I have made the polymer clay beads by rolling up a triangle of polymer clay which is then flattened and a texture applied to it. They have then been painted with acrylic paint in a pink-beige colour. Then I have sanded the paint from the raised part of the texture to emphasise the pattern with the paint. The beads are then sealed with varnish.
The handmade polymer clay beads have been combined with Indian terracotta beads and green Greek ceramic washers; they are all threaded onto waxed cotton cord.
The necklace measures approx 22 inches/56 cms and it fastens with a hammered square gold plated pewter toggle clasp.
