In 2006 my husband and I found this amazing Ametrine stone while mining in the North Carolina for vacation. Ametrine is a quartz stone that contains deposits of both Amethyst and Citrine, as this one did when it was found. There is still a hint of Citrine visible on the back of the pendant.
This is a one of a kind necklace. The stone was hand cut by myself and then wrapped in sterling silver wire to create a wonderful focal pendant. The pendant is surrounded by dog-bone turquoise beads, sterling silver ball beads, and faceted amethysts. The necklace is just over 18 inches in length.
