This listing is a hand painted orange tabby cat salt dough ornament.

<br />For those unfamiliar with salt dough, it's a craft that's been around since Colonial times.
<br />All the ornaments you see in my shop are made by me, the same way as our mothers and grandmothers who dabbled in salt dough, without any mechanical devices, completely by hand.
<br />
<br />Flour, salt and water is combined, shapes are cut out and dried completely until each piece is as hard as a piece of pottery. All ornaments are then sanded to smooth the edges, hand painted with passion and care and finished with a black wire hanger.

<br />Comes wrapped in cello, ready for gift giving.
