<br />Austrian artist, Gustav Klimt, known for his enormous significance to both the Viennese Secession and Art Nouveau movements, was made famous for his use of radiant gold tones and extravagant swirls to signify the loss of self, experienced by lovers. "The Kiss," one of his most resplendent, is featured here on mother of pearl.
