Product Description:

Ammonites are perhaps the most widely known fossil, possessing the typically ribbed spiral-form shell. These creatures lived in the seas between 240 - 65 million years ago, when they became extinct along with the dinosaurs. The name 'ammonite' originates from the Ram-horned god called Ammon, as the ammonite shell looks like the spiral of the rams horn. This fossil captures the detail of the ammonite shell and the beauty in its pattern.
It is held in Copper wire an is 2 3/4 inches by 1 3/4 inches in size. This pendant comes with a 17 inch leather necklace so that it is ready to wear.
