Have you ever seen a picture of a Japanese pickle market? They’re wonderful, colourful, full of daikon slices & dried fish & deep red quail eggs, all in separate bins & bowls & barrels. My pickles are made out of beads, many of them vintage – the quail eggs are punched out of paper. The Japanese characters say tsukemono (“picklesâ€), & they’re cut out of paper & trapped under a layer of tulle. Bound with black grosgrain ribbon.Site:
