A hand embroidered piece of original textile art.

<br />'A pocketful of red posies' features three flowers which I have hand embroidered in a variety of stitches in a red perle embroidery thread (Anc 47) with green cotton embroidery thread for the stems and leaves. The pocket is made from a recycled denim jeans coin pocket. All are stitched onto a vintage cotton fabric edged with trim on two sides, the other two edges of the white fabric are intentionally left raw.

<br />The piece has been tacked onto an off white textured mount card backing ready for you to place into a 10 x 8" aperture frame. If you wish you could remove the piece carefully and re mount or use as you desire.
